STATE OF THE OVERSEAS WEBSITE
It's incredible that I have been maintaining the Overseas website for almost 10 years -- first started it in 1998, and now it's 2008. Initially the web site was intended to be a little local area of exchange among the few San Franciscan CCSC'ers that I managed to find when I first came to San Francisco. Over the years, as the site's existence became known to others there has been growing number of visits and contributions from enthusiastic alumni all over the world. On top of the basic section pages, both the Updates Section and the Family Album were growing immensely. We have added more than 90 Updates and 260 Photo Album pages, which comprise more than 2,000 html and picture files. These form an invaluable base of alumni information that is not easy to build.
We see the need to preserve these data and images well. We also realize the ephemeral nature of data storage provided by free website hosts. They are good and useful and free, but they also carry with it the risk for losing our data, as web hosts can just die on us without any forewarning.
Mr. Yuen, the Principal, who obviously also sees our vulnerability, offered to provide hosting facilities, storage space, domain address, so that we can set up a mirror site on the CCSC server. Then we will have a more permanent DNS address and more secure server and storage.
So starting from January 11, 2008 we have a mirror web site with the address http://aol.ccsc.edu.hk. (aol = "alumni overseas link".) CCSC past students and users please check out the new URL and bookmark it, as I will slowly phase out the old address and use the new domain as our primary URL address in future.
In the mean time, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Yuen for this great help. Thank you so much, Joseph.

Mr. Y. C. So, former Science teacher who emigrated to Calgary, Canada about 10 years ago, just came back to Hong Kong for a visit. Mr.& Mrs. So were greeted warmly by old friends and ex-colleagues from CCSC.
Mr. Wat, Ms. M.Ng, and Mr. Fung met Mr & Mrs So for the first time on Tuesday 1/8/08, and had lunch together in Yaumati. Then they went shopping, and walked on the Tsimshatsui waterfront. In the evening there was a Chinese dinner gathering with old friends and teachers of CCSC. The group photo taken after the reunion dinner is sent to us by courtesy of Mr. Yuen, while the day-time pictures are from Mr. Wat. Thanks.

It is great to hear from Wong Yee Tat Kenny [ F5 1975 ] who sent me his contact email address. I remember Kenny in the first Chemistry Class I taught the very first year that I joined CCSC in 1973. It is very nice to learn that Kenny is doing well. Having over 20 years' experience in sales and marketing, he is COO to a company that provides professional services in conventions and exhibitions organizing, special events management, trade consultancy and marketing advisory.
When asked to provide updates and photos, Kenny said:

Hi Ching Sir,
I'm not sure if you still remember me. I'm Angel Kwok Sei Wai, and graduated from CCSC many many years ago!
I attended your Chemistry class from F.4 to F.5 and you were also my advisor when I joined the Photography Club. It's great to get your update via the CCSC web-site. Hope that you are well.
After working in HSBC for 12 years, I've just started my new page in Exxxxx (Company Name) as the Learning and Development Manager for Asia Pacific.
Stay in touch and may God bless you always!!
Angel :)

I found an old photo of Angel Kwok taken with me at CCSC in May 1990, the year before I left CCSC for San Francisco. Posted here:
