CCSC NEWS
At the Farewell Dinner on July 9, 2004 at Maxim Restaurant, Hennessy Centre, Mr Leung (School Manager), Mr Yuen (Principal), and all teachers and administrative staff, bid farewell to Miss S. H. Fok and Mr T. S. Fung. They are going to retire at the end of this school year. Miss Fok is currently the Vice Principal and has been CCSC's Physics Chairperson for more than 30 years. Mr Fung has been Sportsmaster of the school ever since 1969. Both of them have contributed their entire working career to the school and the students. We would like to extend our gratitude to Miss Fok and Mr Fung for their dedicated service all these years and wish them good health and every happiness in their retirement. The congregation also bid farewell to Miss Tsui, with their best wishes to her for a bright future. More photos of the dinner can be found in Family Album Page 173, thanks to Mr K K Lai and Mr Eugene Chan for kindly providing the photo feed.
MORE ALUMNI NEWS
Only an hour ago I got an unexpected but very welcome e-mail from Tang Kwong Chuen Alex [ F5 1977 ]. He wrote,
Hi, Ching Sir,
Remember me - Tang Kwong Chuen / F5B 1977. You were my formmaster & chemistry teacher.
I just found out from classmates that you are in the Bay Area. I am working in Sunnyvale and living in Castro Valley.
Please put me into the CCSC alumni list.
Alex
Alex sent us some nice recent pictures of him which I'll put into Family Album Page 174. Will add more information about him later when we got to know his whereabouts better.
Very nice indeed to hear from you, Alex.
[ Addendum: July 11, 2004 ]
The next day Tang Kwong Chuen followed up with a brief history of himself from 1981. On arriving at Los Angeles he went directly to Disneyland, on the very first day he set foot on United States land. Then he studied at University of Oregon. Having started his MBA studies in Georgia he completed the degree at Santa Clara in 1987 when he also found his first job. In 1989 he got married. The years that followed he worked at several places and had his own business and had also been in Malaysia for 3 years. He is now settled and working for a company that manufactures GPS equipment like car navigation application and many others. His job deals with new product introduction, basically from prototype production in USA to mass production launch in China. He did quite a lot of traveling in the last two years, but somewhat less now.
Alex and his wife have two children. Their son, Allen, just finished elementary school and is going to middle school this September. He plays the cello very well. The daughter, Alexa, is still in preschool. His wife stays home to take care of the kids. And as for himself, he said, . . . "And me -- losing hair !!! :-) "
Alex also said: " Mrs Sinn (former Chinese teacher, a.k.a. Miss Lam before she got married) will be in town for a couple of days (around 7/21/2004 to 7/23/2004). I plan to have dinner with her. It will be great if you can join too." --- That's great news for all Bay Area alumni..... I sure would love to meet Mrs Sinn again. Any past students who see this and would like to meet Mrs Sinn, please get in touch with me by email a.s.a.p., so we can get a bigger crowd - the more the merrier !!!
How nice that Alex sends me an old photo of almost three decades ago. It was taken at my old place in HK when the class paid me a sudden(?) visit at Chinese New Year -- and they had been doing it thereafter every Chinese New Year for some years !!! I still can recall a number of names right away from the photo, but not sure about the exact year -- it must be 1978 or 1979. Any ideas?

Dear Ching Sir:
You are wonderful !!! Thanks for all your effort to manage and organize such a
wonderful web site. The best of all I could find some of the long lost buddy
such as Alex Tang. We had lost contact for over 20 years and with your great
web site, it brought us back together.
Let me briefly introduce myself: I graduated in 1977 (Form 5D) and I was one of
the appointed Prefect. I moved to Fresno in 1980 and still staying in Fresno.
I'm a licensed Architect specializing in Education Projects (Kindergarten to
University facilities), military projects and public/government projects. I am
married and have three children: two daughters and one son. Obviously, my
schedule is very full and demanding by running between school aged kids and
business.
I bet there will be a competition for HAIR LOSING between Alex Tang
and myself.
