CCSC News

Mr T S Fung on Sports Day, 2001

We are most concerned at the news that Mr T. S. Fung, Sportsmaster since 1969, had a stroke. He fell unconscious on the school premises one morning in late November, 2003, and was rushed to the hospital and treated for some time in Intensive Care Unit.

It is good to hear that Mr Fung is recovering fast. According to teachers (Mr Siu, Mr Wat, and others) who have maintained regular contacts with him after the incident, Mr Fung's current condition has been fine. He is physically sound and is able to move about normally on his own and even use public transport by himself, although his speech function is somewhat affected and recovery is still in progress.

Please join us in wishing Mr Fung a speedy and complete recovery. Get well soon, Fung Sir !!!

P.S.
  1. Mr Fung WILL attend the 35th Anniversary Dinner.

  2. Past students of Mr Fung who want to send him get-well-soon cards, letters, and good wishes, can mail to:

San Francisco News

Thanks to Yu Kin Keung James [ F4 1973 ] for inviting me, Poon Yau Shun Andy [ F7 1976 ], Chan Kwok Kwong [ F5 1975 ], and families, to the San Francisco Premiere of the great movie The Miracle Box, held at The Legion of Honor, San Francisco.

The movie was about the true story of Dr Tse Yuen Man of Hong Kong, who caught the disease while fighting against SARS in Hong Kong and subsequently died.

It was great to know that James, himself an eminent dentist in San Francisco, was concerned from the very beginning when SARS first broke out. He had been keeping himself abreast all the time of the development of the epidemic in HK, and had organized some medical forums in the Bay Area on combating SARS. When the idea of making a movie from the story of Dr Tse Yuen Man was conceived, James actively took up a leading role in the project, from planning, movie production, to the difficult task of raising funds for the production. He even appeared in the movie himself. Recognize James in the movie? He acted as Director of Tuen Mun Hospital who interviewed Dr Tse !!!

Congratulations to Dr Yu Kin Keung James for this great achievement.

James migrated to the United States in his teenage. Although a dentist by profession, he always has an intense interest in the mass media. He has participated in the making of several documentary movies, and also plays host to a Health and Medicine program on a local radio station. James is a dedicated Christian.
