HI, I'M BACK !!!
Sorry for no updates for four months. Here is the first one, and I will continue to work on other files... so please bear with me for being slow. Over the past few months, I did receive some alumni news from individual past students, but because of my computer problem I might have lost some. If you have sent me something and haven't seen it published after a while, please re-send. My apologies.
SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
On February 19, 2004 I had the pleasure of dining with Chan Yau Kit Tony [ F5 1990 ], Lau Mei Ying Rainbow [ F5 1991 ]and her husband Doug Kwan, and Tang Po Wan Ariel [ F4 1990 ]. At first we had hoped to organize a bigger reunion but somehow didn't have enough time to really get in touch with other people.

Tony Chan, Rainbow Lau, Doug Kwan, Ariel Tang
Chan Yau Kit Tony quitted his already very highly paid job and started his own business in softwares. Thus he is the President and CEO of his own software company. His company is doing very well and maintains a lot of business with China. A lot of times in the year he is busy shuttling between Shanghai, Beijing, and United States.
Both Tang Po Wan Ariel and Rainbow Lau bought a new house.
CALGARY, CANADA
Thanks a lot to Priscilla Lee [ 1975 ] for sending us a very nice photo. She wrote, "I have taken this in my house last Christmas....do you recognize them???" Of course we do. It's Mr and Mrs Y C So -- the Integrated Science teacher, stamp collector, and music/audio/stage/performance coordinator (and guitar-player.... do you know that?) in the Hall all the time until he migrated to Calgary, Canada in the mid-1990s. We do miss them and would like to hear more about them.

Hello Ching Sir,
I am a CCSC alumni who have been living in Canada for over 10 years. And just
now, I am so lucky to have found this CCSC alumni overseas link. Would you
please add my below info. onto the alumni list? Thank you so much!
My name: Edwina Kit Ming LEUNG
Class/Year: F4/1991
Location: Alberta, Canada
My e-mail address: edwinakitmingleung2004@yahoo.com
To introduce a bit of myself, I am an energy management engineer at a local utility company in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. You are right ! I graduated from electrical engineering. I am now living with my parents and 2 younger sisters ....
When I looked at the CCSC alumni list and pictures, I could quickly recognize Thomas Tsang ^_^ ! And Jacky Fan too!
I am interested in contacting Thomas and other alumni in Canada. In fact, I hope to meet Thomas since I'll be going to Vancouver next month ... I will also drop by Santa Clara for a couple of days too ...!
So when are you going to update the CCSC overseas link again? I am looking forward to it !
Thanks,
Edwina Kit Ming Leung
P.S. Attached is a picture taken while I was traveling in Europe last summer. It was a hot day, well above 37 degrees .....

Subject : a former CCSC student from Brisbane
Ching Sir,
Hi, how are you?
My name is Manix and I am a former CCSC student, now living in
Brisbane. I finished F3 and left HK in 1989. [ I was in the same
year with John Mak, Paul Lo, Sandy Choi, Stephen Ma, Winnie Au as
some of the good students who I could recall. ]
Although I did not have any studies under you during my junior
life in CCSC, the "disciplinary enforcer" image of you and Mr Tang
is, quite, unforgetable even after ~1.5 decade.
It is amazing to see the photo of you and Mr Yam on the CCSC
alumini oversea link. You two are looking great.
By the way, Mr.Yam was my F1 class coordinator.
May I ask you to kindly forward an "Hello" msg to him, please?
Thank you and keep in touch.
Mnx...
PS. Your CCSC webpage is more informative and looks better than
the official one.
When I wrote back to Manix telling him that..... well, given the difficult task of being "hair discipline enforcer" I did try to strike a compromise between getting the job done (done fairly and according to our rules, of course) and meanwhile creating an image of being "the better guy" (of the two !! ), by looking more "understanding toward students' difficulties".... (Sorry, Mr Tang, if you're reading this .... Wonder if you had realized this at that time, huh?????, Ha Ha.... ;-)
Manix continued in his second email:
Felix,
The hair checking elites. How could I forget that? It must have
been a hard job to display mean and menacing faces to students
all the time. Then again, I suppose this is a circumstancial
necessarity in HK high school education.
I used to have swimming training 6 nights a week. To save time
after the training, I did not use shampoo to wash my hair. I do
not mean ever, just not every time. As a result, my hair
was 'chlorinated' and became 'sticking out'.
Fun time came during hair checking. My sticking out hair style,
kind of like the Dragon Ball cartoon character, gave Mr Tang a mis-perception of hair gel work.
I remember I had to convinced him by rinsing my hair immediately
in the toilet. Dried it and ran back to show him that it was
still 'sticking out'.
After a couple of these instances, he gave in and took my word
that my hair was "poorly chlorinated".
Enough back-stapping (hehe).
When I was in CCSC, I thought Mr Tang was a mean bastard. I had a
personal talk with him before I left HK, I still thought he was
still a mean bastard.
After my experience in the Australian educational system, I
realized that I had been wrong. Tender and caring did show in
Mr Tang's unique way of reinforcements, just people do not
realized.
Mr Tang did not teach me any academic materials. However, he had
given me some advices on learning attitudes and study techniques,
which are highly valuable in my academic path. From the talk with
Mr Tang before I left HK, he gave me insights in numerics as a
thinking game than study bundles.
I believe this heavily shaped my academic career, up to current!

CANINE PIX
Just let me squeeze in a lil' addendum here, before going back home to CCSC.......
It's very nice to see Manix's dog Jay in his picture (taken at 3 months old). Jay is a German Shephard x Collie. While on the subject, I would like to include a couple more canine photos: On the left is my dog Glory sitting in front of my house (See those flowers? I spent a lot time on plants too -- well, let's talk about plants later). Glory is a Chinese Shar-pei x Rhodesian Ridgeback, and is now 3 years old. She is very pleasant with the family but very protective as a guard dog. She is fond of eating ("always hungry") so is a little chubby at 85 lbs. Then there is Danny, the huge Mastif of Poon Yau Shun Andy [ F7 1976 ] in San Francisco. Andy took this picture with his newly acquired digital camera. Danny has a nice temperament in spite of his size... it's over 100 pounds.

If you have photos of your dog, please send to me so I can add more pictures here. Also, tell us something about your dog

Here is a picture from Tang Kwong Chuen Alex [ F5 1977 ] with his Scottie Puppy:

Alwen Yeung [ F5 1993 ] in Tallahassee, Florida sent her dog's picture in June, 2005: This is my newly adopted dog Sturm. He is a 3.5-year-old German Shepherd.
