From Left: Mr and Mrs Tang, Yip Ching Han [ F3 1972 ] and Chu Chik Chun [ F5 1975 ].
On May 25, 2003, Yip Ching Han (Joyce Li) [ F3 1972 ] and Chu Chik Chun (Camelia Chow) [ F5 1975 ] had the great pleasure of meeting Mr Tang (former Discipline Master, and "Hair Checker") and Mrs Tang, in Ottawa. Joyce wrote, "Tang Sir was our teacher in CCSC 30 years ago. We were so happy to meet him. ..... Wow! Mr. Tang and his wife look younger than us !!!"
How did we find Mr.Tang? So, we have to thank your CCSC website again. We saw Mr.Tang's photo in the website's photo album and we knew he is in Ottawa. Also, Mr.Tang and his wife always go to Camelia's husband's restauant for lunch. Finally, we made arrangements to meet Mr.Tang.
Although we all started in 1969 in CCSC when the school was in the first year, Mr.Tang never taught me, but he ever was Camelia's teacher. I gave one Chinese version of my book "Melas Angels" to them.
Anybody overseas (not in HK) who wants one of my book (Chinese or English version), can send an e-mail to me. I can make arrangements to send out the book. It is a beautiful book with 300 pages.
Thank you so much, Joyce, for the news update and the photo.
Thanks are due to Joyce again, for scanning and sending two pictures on behalf of Chu Chik Chun Camilia [ F5 1975 ].

Joyce wrote,
"Hi, Ching Sir
Camelia has no scanner at home, so she asked me to send these photos to you. The first one is Camelia (Chu-Chik-Chun) and her daughter who turned 19 years old this year.
The second photo that Camelia asked me to send was taken in October, 1998 when Janie Pang (Leung Kwok Ching visited us in Ottawa. From left: Janie Pang (Leung-Kwok-Ching), Camelia Chow (Chu-Chik-Chun) and her husband, David Chow. The background is Canada's Parliament Hill."

I was glad to see the Guest Book entry left by Sham Pui Wah Clara [ F5 1995 ]. I was also amazed by Clara's fast response when I followed up to ask her about her whereabouts. Her email came back within a couple of hours after I had sent mine! Wow !!! Thank you so much, Clara.

Hi Ching Sir,
Thank you for your message. I am so surprised to hear
from you so soon as this kind of efficiency is rarely
seen over here...To show my support to the website,
please find the following updates about my friends and
myself.
I studied at CCSC from 1990 to 1995 and left for
London after completing the HKCEE. After two years of
A-levels, I did a degree in Economics and Accounting
at the University of Bristol. In 2000, I went back to
Hong Kong for a year and worked with Ernst and Young.
Realising what my career goal is, I came back to
London and achieved a MSc in Accounting and Finance at
the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
Right now I am a trainee accountant at an accounting
firm in Central London and working towards the
accountancy qualification with the Institue of
Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
After all these years, I still remember the times when
I was at CCSC. Certainly those 5 years were not the
most relaxing time I have so far but the most
rewarding. It was when I learnt that everything is
achievable with great determination and all ups and
downs I have at CCSC shaped me into what I am today in
one way or another. (by the way, I was a school
librarian for five years acquiring myself with the
skill of shelving and developed my reading habit!:)) I
remember Ms Ng (my Form one class tutor) who taught me
the importance of self discipline and the kind support
by all my Form 5C teachers when we were all going
through a patchy time. I would like to take this
oppurtunity to thank all the teachers who taught me at
CCSC! Thank you very much!
I am so gald that I am still having contact with four
'CCSC' friends who were my F.1 classmates (F.1A in
1990/1). They are all working in Hong Kong but I do
not want to disclose any information about them prior
to their consent as you may understand. However I
have already sent them a message regarding the
website.
Ching Sir, I very much appreciate your effort and time
in maintaining this valuable network for us. I would
like to provide some more updates about my friends and
myself after my accountancy exam in June!
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
Clara

I appreciate the updates of Wong Chi Huen Connie [ F6 1995 ] that she sends us every now and then, despite her tight schedules working for her Ph.D. at Stanford University. Her specialization is in Cell Biology.

Dear Ching Sir,
Haven't talked to you for a while. Hope life is treating you well?
I've been reading about how only 35% of the English teachers who took the
English proficiency test passed the exam. On one hand I was surprised and
horrified like everyone else, on the other hand, I couldn't help but feel
lucky about having had such excellent English teachers when I was at CCSC.
I especially remember Mr Tang and Ms Winnie Wong, who are both very
knowledgeable and caring. And, not to mention, both are extremely funny.
Going to their classes was never boring! I remember one time Ms Winnie Wong
walked into class and hit my head with my composition book first thing she
saw me just cuz she really liked my essay or something. How funny. Ah,
good old days. Anyway, I have lost contact with both of them, but I would
still like to thank them for being such great teachers and hope that they
would one day come across your web page and see it.
By the way, I saw this article on hk.news.yahoo.com
(http://hk.news.yahoo.com/030603/12/s58s.html). I find it ironic that the
people commenting on the declining english proficiency in Hong Kong didn't
seem to be very proficient at the language itself... :)
Oh, I would also like to share some good news with you... My first serious
and meaningful scientific publication (I have two not-quite-significant ones
before, but, eh, those don't count) is out this month in the journal Nature
Cell Biology. Here's the link to it:
http://www.nature.com/cgi-taf/DynaPage.taf?file=/ncb/journal/v5/n6/full/ncb993.html
I had two great bio teachers at CCSC, Mrs Diana Chan and Mr Tong. Hopefully
they will also come across your web site and find the link? I hope that
they would get a chance to look at my paper because they really were the
people who started my interest in biology.
Alright, I should go back to work. My advisor has already walked past my
bench three times. I'll take that as a hint for me to quit e-mailing. Do
you have any summer plans? I'll be going to a friend's wedding in Boston in
August, and then take a road trip back to california with my boyfriend. But
other than that I'm basically stuck here at work. But, hey, it's beautiful
here in the bay area, so I shouldn't complain, right? :)
Hope all is well!
Regards,
Connie

FROM CALIFORNIA TO CANADA
Ng Man Ho Eric [ F5 1991 ] who graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a Computer Science major, and has been working in this field at managerial level, decides to stop work for a while to go back to Business School to earn an M.B.A. degree, in Canada. That means he'll have to leave the Bay Area for two years. Always gifted with amazing creativity (remember his proposal party?), this time Eric threw a farewell party for all his beloved pets -- a golden retriever Beamer, and 2 cats Meow and Arby. Eric said he will miss all his friends he met in the Bay Area in the last eleven years.

Dear Ching Sir,
Earlier this week I received a very thoughtful and special gift from Derek
Lam, whom I just got in touch with recently from his entry in the Guestbook.
It was a class photo of F.1C from 1989-1990. Since I don't even remember
taking such a photo, much less owning one, it is indeed a very precious gift
for me.

He too agreed that it would be an excellent idea to share the photo
with our old classmates as well as other CCSC alumni and teachers. Therefore
we hope you too would find it appropriate to have the photo added to the
Family Album.
By the way, I am seated third from the left in the front row in
the photo. I will not try to identify the others in the photo as my memory is
limited. I think I will let them come forward and identify themselves on
their own. Once again I like to thank you for creating and maintaining such a
wonderful website. Keep up the good work!
Brian
By the way, old Class Photos are certainly nostalgic and valuable. I myself like to look at old class photos in my Print Album. But I would like to let our readers know, that I try not to encourage people sending Class Photos to this web site, for the following reasons:
(1) All class photos look basically the same (taken in the Hall, red background etc). So too many Class Photos will make the Photo Album look monotonous.
(2) Usually I limit the image files to 100K or less, so as to keep down the download time. For most other photos 100K size is great, but for a Class Photo, the resolution is not adequate to identify the match-head-size faces. It thus defeats the purpose of posting a Class Photo.
I post Brian's picture here anyway, because it certainly is a special picture to him.

RECENT IMAGES OF TEACHERS AND STAFF
I wish to express my sincere thanks to Mr K. K. Lai, Lab Technician, for the constant feed of many up-to-date CCSC photos. This time, we have the chance of seeing the most recent faces of teachers, technicians and office staff, in a private buffet dinner hosted by Miss Winnie Wong and Miss Sinn of the School Office.
