Dear Felix,

Happy Easter and Stay healthy!! :)

Doing nothing is my standard enjoying the holiday, well English people always blame the weather. I somehow become 'English' even I never like the country, and I'm blaming the weather. At one stage, I did tell my lecturer that I want to change my project title into 'a critical analysis of the special eduaction need in gambling corporate into the teaching of Year 8 topic respiration in a mixed comprehansive school--including a school trip to Vagas'

When I started this course, we all had to do a micro-teaching to our mates. I did it on Palm Reading Fortune Telling. They are still talking about it even we are all science teacher. Before Easter, we all have to do a peer tutoring (again!!) so this time I do a talk on Feng-Shui in your classroom to improve learning achievement......... They are so fascinated. I always think I have the right ethnic origin in the right time.

Then it comes to holiday, which I'm supposed to do a great project, i.e. tidy up the house. I am a natural born scientist who follow the 2nd law of thermodynamics, tidy up is hard enough. Moreover, my room has definitely got a close-packed pattern. I removed a few big bags, but my room still look more or less the same.

So that's the news so far. Take care

Love
Aileer

Hi, Mr Ching,

I am sure you will not remember who I am. I was a student of Form 5 E in 1977. You taught me Biology when I was in Form 3. Even now, I can still remember how well you knew the lessons you taught. You did not need to refer to any books or notes in class, and as you went along, you simply wrote down the points you wanted us to note, and taken together, all these points would form the notes of your lectures.

Your website is very valuable. In the Family Album, I discovered to my great delight a picture of Tse Tin Shing, who used to be my good friend but somehow lost contact with me in the late 1980's. I am glad to learn that he is now happily settled down in the States with two lovely daughters. It might be a good idea for the website to include people's e-mail addresses (to be shown only with their consent, of course).

Oh, by the way, I am now working for the Legislative Council of the HKSAR as a senior translation officer, and I must say the language training I received in CCSC is largely the reason for where I am.

Many thanks to you teachers.

Regards,
Wong Kin Bun

Bun,

I got the following e-mail from Ching Sir. Glad to be in touch again!

I relocated from Boston to San Francisco in 1989! I am married with two daughters. I am currently working for Intel Corporation in Santa Clara as a "Senior Mechancial Engineer". My job is to keep their FAB ( Factory manufacturing computer chips ) running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hope to hear more from you!

Mr Ching,

Glad to receive your email.

And, thanks for forwarding my email to Tse Tin Sing. He has got it and sent me one in turn. You know, IT was such a wonderful invention of the last century. Without it, I do not think that the "old" people of CCSC can ever "get together" once again after so many years.

I discovered your website by sheer accident as I was searching for information on CCSC in the internet.

Frankly, I did not use to like the school very much, largely due to the usual rebellious tendencies of one's teens. Now, however, as a daddy of two daughters (Rowena 6 1/2 years and Rachel 5 years), I have come to realize the importance of stressing discipline in one's formative years. And, after all, I must say that the teachers of CCSC all gave us an excellent education.

I studied for one year in the science stream, Form 3 A, 1974-75, if I can remember correctly. But I was never a scientist as such, and I failed every science subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics etc except Biology. You taught us Biology that year. And, as I said in the previous email to you, I sort of really marvelled at how you managed to "improvise" such highly organised and systematic lectures. You and also Mr C.Y. Fung were among the teachers I admired most. I taught English for quite some time in the 1980's, and time and again, I would subconsciously imitate the lecturing styles of you and Mr Fung.

Oh, I am sorry for running on and on for such a long time. I shouldn't have wasted such much of your valuable time anyway. Working with the Legislative Council is not such an exciting experience except at the time of the 1997 handover. That night really gave us a thrilling experience. We simply felt like part of that historic event. It was very much unlike watching the events of the day on TV. We had all the time been involved--- Chris Patten at loggerhead with the PRC and reporting to the legislature on his disputes with the Chinese government, the operation of the Provsional Legislative Council in Shenzhen etc. All these events came to a close to our great relief (or even greater anxieties?) at midnight 1 July 1997. Oh, sorry again, I am running on and on again.

Anyway, I must thank you once again for operating the website. Let's talk again next time. The best regards to you and your family.

Your one-time student,
Kin Bun

Mr. Ching,

I am wondering if I can have Lau Kam-Chuen's e-mail address, I lost contact with him since last time he asked me to go back to H.K. for the reunion party long time ago.

My Chinese name is Chu Chik-Chun, I was in the same class with him in F5. Thank you.

Camelia Chow

Chu Chik Chun subsequently got in touch with old classmate Lau Kam Chuen and they were able to exchange mail.

Dear Mr. Ching,

I just bumped into your web site this evening. It's indeed quite a long time since I graduated from F.5B (1986). Your web site has brought me some good memories, in particular, those very old photos including Mr. Lee who taught Chinese subject.

I do remember Mr. Lee well, and in fact, I do remember many other teachers including you, Mr. Kung, Mr. So, Mrs Ma, ..... , and so on. Mr. Lee is a very special teacher, with a distinctive teaching style. He's a good teacher. I'm sure I'll remember him, even in another 10 or 20 years, or even longer. I remember his bag too.

I had been struggling in the IT industry for around 10 years. I'm no longer a naughty boy in the class, but a father of 2 naughty kids =D Days had gone fast .... it's now more than 15 years since I left CCSC at F.5. I still maintain close contacts with many CCSC schoolmates and the "world is small". Along these 10 years of IT life, I continue to come across other graduates of CCSC. When I was in Chase Manhattan 5 years ago, our team employed a girl and soon I got to know that she was also a CCSC student, Law Mei Luk -- Any idea? I guess she graduated aroud 1991 or 1992 ... she married a CCSC student, whose brother was my classmate Chan Yin Hei. What a small world !! I met her and her husband weeks ago and we still can recall the old days at CCSC ....

I still maintain close contacts with Law Chun Fai, Tse Yuen Wai, King Pui Tak, Hui Yin Lok ... I guess you'll at least remember Law Chun Fai. I do have some photo with them but unfortunately they're all "analogue" version. I'll see if they have some digital images. Will try to send you later ...
