Tony Chan reunited with old friends back in HK
Sunny Kok, Josee Chen, Tony Chan, Kelvin Chan
(all from F7 1990, CCSC)

Back to Hong Kong in December, Chan Yau Kit Tony met his old folks again, including Sunny Kok, Josee Chen, Kelvin Chan from CCSC. They are doing great. "I'm working very hard these days on my new job."

Tang Po Wan Ariel, spent 3 weeks in Hong Kong for vacation, and one week in China for work. (She has been a mechanical engineer with Cisco for a long time.) Ariel writes:

"I met with Fiona Hau and she had asked me to bring something back for you. Well, when you get better, please let me know and we can have another dinner. Take it easy.

"Rainbow Lau Mei Ying is in town again. She went skiing and we had a great dinner yesterday (2/15/2001). Six people went to dinner: Clement, Eric, Raymond, Rainbow, Doug and I. After dinner, we looked at Eric's new dog (Beamer) [ pictured below ] for a little bit and then he went home. Tony Chan had Bible Study yesterday so we went for a drink at Milpitas Square to wait for him to join us but he didn't get here till 11pm! So we sat for another 20 mins or so after he got there. Rainbow is going back to Hong Kong tonight.

MARYLAND

Hung Yee Wai Edward [ F7 1995 ] is currently a Ph.D. candidate at University of Maryland, College Park, in Computer Science. After graduating Form 7 from CCSC, Edward has earned his B.Eng. and M.Phil. degrees with flying colors in Computer Science from University of Hong Kong.

While still in Hong Kong, Edward has built an impressive web site with astonishingly wide coverage of many different interest areas. There is also a section of carefully selected links to overseas universities and reseach work. This should also be of value to secondary school students contemplating furthering their studies abroad. Even though Edward and I never met before, we did have the opportunity to talk on emails about our web sites. He gave me some useful suggestions -- Thanks, Edward. His Home Page URL is http://i.am/ehung

FROM ENGLAND TO KENYA

Here is the mail from Cheng Sau Ting Aileer [ F5 1994 ] from England. As soon as she gets her M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Imperial College, London University, she heads for Kenya in Africa, to work as a volunteer teacher for the underprivileged people there.

Hi people,

Here are the answers of FAQ

I am teaching Chemistry and Physics in the middle of nowhere near Kisumu for 2 years. I do have holidays just like any normal school. English will be the teaching medium, and swahili is cool for bond formation.

Don't expect to receive e-mail from me. Why shall I use the computer again when I am running away from civilisation?

OK it means I am only contactable via post, if you find it not so convinient as e-mail, pls consider typing your message in computer like e-mail, then click 'PRINT' instead of 'SEND'; or why not pick up a pen and start sending post-cards, I'm sure my boys will like to see pics of another country.

Right, here is my address:

Ikonge PAG Secondary School
PO Box 60
Ikonge-Nyamira
Kenya

Keep in touch and I'll love you all

Aileer

Dear Felix,

Thank you very much for the concern. I'll have a 2 room house with electricity for myself. Perhaps I can try to keep a zebra in my garden. Of course there are scary things like ants, mosquitoes and snakes.

I'll be in Nairobi for 3 weeks language trainning so I'm still electronically contactable for a while.

Love
Aileer

HONG KONG

Students of the early 70s, especially girl students, probably will remember her. She is Anna Hong, Teacher of D.S. from 1971-73 (D.S. = Domestic Science, later re-named to Home Economics). Anna left in 1973 to go to study in Canada, before I joined CCSC, but I had the chance of meeting her after she returned to HK. It is my great pleasure to hear from Anna when she visited our web site and left her message in the Guest Book:
Date: Jan 12, 2001 at 03:03 [EST]
I believe I have met you after my study in Canada (around 1976) My memory is not that good these days. I learnt about this website from my F. 1B students (1972), when we finally sat down to dinner after may be 20 or more years; and we had a great time.
Miss Hong had joined the Customs Department for maybe 8 years after that, then migrated to Canada, but came back after 4 years. She and her husband live in Hong Kong and have been doing real estate business.

Thanks to Mr Siu for two photos of Mr Pun's wedding reception on 28/12/2000, which are now on Page 67 of the Family Album. If anyone has any more picture of the wedding ceremony or the reception, please send to us.
