Update #16. October 28, 1999
I really hope some more CCSC alumni in the Bay Area will emerge and show up unexpectedly at the party. :-) If you are one of them and cannot get in touch with us earlier, please do come in and feel very welcome. OK.... so much for the announcement. Here are some more alumni updates: SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA I have had the pleasure conversing with Chan Lap Ho Gordon [ F5 1995 ] via email. He is from Sydney, Australia, now final year Accounting at Macquarie University. From his year of graduation from CCSC, it is obvious Gordon and I could not have met personally on campus. Gordon will be graduating from university by July 2000. "My exam will come soon, and after the exam, I'll go back to HK for my summer vacation. . . . I'll go back to CCSC coz my younger brother is still studying in CCSC." He promised to say Hello to Miss Ng for me ! ^_^ Some alumni here may probably remember going to school in the morning is no easy task at all. See how Gordon writes: "It's now very convenient to go to CCSC coz there is a bus lane from Chai Wan going all the way straight to CCSC. So now it will just take me about 20 minutes to get there. How come there was no such nice bus lane when I was in CCSC !!? As you know, it used to be quite a trouble to go to school by MTR, and then you've gotta take a walk up that steep slope in order to go to school on time!" How I smiled when Gordon's description brought back memories of a familiar sight at CCSC every morning after the bell. There were always a few late risers running up the school driveway in full sweat, in the mean time trying to avoid eye contact with the Principal who was watching at a distance with a frown of reproach. SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
Do Man Ho Simon [ F7 1991 ] is back to Hong Kong and is now working, after graduation from Santa Clara University. "I do sometimes meet with my old classmates... well, quite a number of them... those who graduated from CCSC are actually doing quite well with their career. and some of them are beginning to have their own families. Guess I started out late with my career but I know I will catch up pretty soon :)" he writes. His email address at SCU is still valid as mail will be re-routed to him. He has been a member of the San Francisco Group, and continues to be, though physically away. Wong Wing Yee Wynne [ F5 1990 ] at Stanford went back to HK last year and says it was nice to meet some teachers at CCSC. Tong Ka Pui Joan [ F5 1990 ] will be coming over to the West Coast from New York next week. On hearing about the CCSC Reunion on November 6, she said she will certainly join the party. New Home Page You probably have noticed that you're now using a brand new Home Page for this web site. I wanted to do away with the wordiness in the first one and hopefully it is now easier to find your way. I have also expanded the CCSC Links listing to include web pages from alumni and current students. I appreciate visits and comments from Hung Yee Wai Edward [ F7 1995 ], Chan Yau Kit Tony [ F5 1990 ], Tsui Kwo Sonia [ F5 1990 ], Kei Shun Yau Jason [ F5 1990 ], Liu Siu Ya Sophia [ F4 1990 ], Wong Wing Yee Wynne [ F5 1990 ], and others. Thank you very much. Oh, yes...... Happy Halloween, big kids ! :-) Copyright © 1999 Felix Ching [ End of Update 16 ] ![]() ![]() |
