In the summer of 1997 when the Principal Mr S C Leung and family visited USA and Canada, the Bay Area alumni hosted a dinner party in his honor at Hong Kong Flower Lounge Restaurant at San Francisco (Millbrae). The evening was full of laughter and nostalgia. Mr Leung dwelled at length on recollections of the early years of school development -- a history quite unknown to the young alumni present. He also updated us on the mother schools' academic advancement and activities.
We were so surprised when Mr Leung took out a pile of the school's 25th Anniversary Magazine and presented each of us (yes, each of us ! ) with a copy. The thick magazine was indeed a great gift beyond our expectation, though we could not help wondering how Mr Leung had managed to carry all the way from Hong Kong so many extra pounds of books on top of his own heavy luggage !!! Thank you so much, Mr Leung. We gave the school a picture book of San Francisco scenes, to commemorate his visit to "The City."
CCSC'ers who visited me from 1992 to 1998
Over the past few years I have had the opportunity of meeting a number of past students and teachers who came to San Francisco. Among them are: Trevor Chan (from Hong Kong), Hannah Chi (Toronto), Kenny Lam (then from Wisconsin), Hester Leung (HK), Hilda Li (HK), Dr Derek Wong (then from Concord), Miss Fok (HK), Mr Lee Lip Ming (Pinole), Miss Amy Poon (Boston), Mr Pun (HK), Mrs Sinn (then from Chicago), Mr So (then from HK), Mrs Jacqueline Wong (HK), Mr Yam (HK), and of course those who live in the Bay Area.
What after 1998?
Visitors continue to come, of course. Now that I have this web site, I began recording their visits in the Updates section. I treasure every moment I spent with my visitors from CCSC.
